I wouldn't say those are the types of conservatives we're thinking of. I'm thinking of the ones that would consistently defend the right to speak even when they strongly disagree. Conservatives were more consistently against government sanctioning of speech.

Yeah, this is a good example. Don't know if the principle will survive Trumpism, but for years it was well defended by conservatives.

Noah and I were pretty friendly on Twitter. We would DM quite a few times and I came to understand a lot of his positions (including ones he didn't really put out publicly).

But that was 2+ years ago. I don't know how things have changed, so I hope this isn't representative.

I genuinely hope that in 30 years, a lot of people who today defend the horrors we see in Gaza will feel shame, and even be made to feel shame.

I can't understanding a mentality that views calls to stop indiscriminately murdering women, children and other civilians as itself evil.

Valuing human life should be a common principle.

I guess it's obvious that Noah disagrees that Israel is committing a genocide, even as many of the war crimes and crimes against humanity Israel commits are on video.

But even then, to accuse those who want the behavior to stop of being genocidal is gross.

This is a shocking thing to say. So the UN, International genocide scholars, and even Jewish/Israeli genocide scholars....are all wanting to just commit another Holocaust according to Noah.

I'm not referring to that line of division as lots of groups get a piece.

She's roughly estimated to have $1.2 billion in wealth. I'm advocating against that. In my view, at least $180 m of that should be taxed and used for creating a more just society.

Then ask them who they'll sacrifice after that when the opposition asks for more names.
