Right that's the whole issue, there there too many moving pieces and nobody is even attempting to determine if they fit together. Can the 5 pass the Senate? Can a DHS CR pass the Senate? Can either of those pass the house? Will Trump sign anything with restrictions on ICE? Choose your own adventure

5 bills and a CR will still result in a shutdown because they won't be able to pass them by unanimous consent and the House would still need to pass them again anyway. No way that happens in the next 2 days

The vibe we got was "well if there's a shutdown it will probably only be a few days" but like...they're not going to pass the 5 bill package by unanimous consent so, it's going to be minimum a week just to get that through, if it can even pass the House

I wish Dice City in Wheaton still had a TTRPG focus, but they've found a strong niche with TCGs (mostly MtG) and retro video games. Glad they've found a niche and been able to grow even through COVID. We need more places like that that bring people together around a common hobby in real space

The campaign frames are also not super helpful in inspiring anyone. They're very much like Kids on Bikes's 1 pager scenarios that are meant to jumpstart collaboration but ultimately don't give a GM enough to build off of to feel like a distant setting that's not just homebrew

Full disclosure I haven't played Daggerheart, but everything I read about it is basically "d&d where it's ok to go rules lite if you want" and "d&d with blades in the dark clocks". Which is cool but is that a whole system?

He might literally be a rent a cop. FPS only has about 900 actually uniformed LEOs, and most of them are in the NCR where they can sit in cars outside federal buildings. Odds are good this guy is a contractor who never thought he'd end up anywhere near action
