It’s such a lost cause at this point to even try to reason with a Barb

Me when other people know being a Barb is a red flag. It’s so refreshing to see.

I just mentioned her interaction to someone else. I understand being introverted. The industry is full of introverts, however, when it’s time to build interest into a project, there needs to be some level of interaction with your fans. She abandoned that.

Exactly. Not to mention she announced the project and went quiet up until the final days before the album release. Two things need to be considered. Management and the artist. The label can provide the financial support, connections, ads, etc.. but the artist and management have to input effort.

Yup. There’s a lack of initiative from some artists. Nowadays, labels seem to be interested in artists who already have an established fan base or support. They want to see the actual work so they’ll know if it’s worth investing in. With Normani her lack of interaction could’ve played a role.

You GET it, you truly get it! Most artists today, treat the label like a bank! They only consult with them when they need money and that’s it!

There has to be some accountability on the artist part. The music industry is not the same industry. we grew up on where they completely manufacture an artist. Normani stalled with promotion on her social media platforms, and she also talked negatively about her project.

I figured this when it came to Normani especially. People don’t realize the music industry has evolved to where artists don’t have to wait on the label to build interest in projects.

I’ll be honest after watching interviews and just observing her over time she has to want the exposure. I feel like she lacks drive and if she wants to relax and not make music her priority I’m fine with that too.
