Q: I would love to apply as a writer, but I use Ellipsus instead of Google Drive. Is that a problem?

A: That will not be a problem for the application process, but we do require all check-ins and submissions to be made via Google Forms and Google Drive.

Q: Do flash fiction pieces count as alternative writing?

A: Flash fiction pieces do fall under alternative writing!

Q: Is there a possibility of this zine becoming physical?

A: Unfortunately, the Agnosco Team is more comfortable with continuing Agnosco as a digital project.

Q: What are requirements/expectations for the portfolio?

A: Please reference our information guide for full details! In short, you may include SFW romantic pieces and non-HSR pieces in your portfolio. Dr. Ratio-centric pieces are encouraged, but not required!

Q: How many works to the zine are we able to submit, and since I am applying for writer and artist, how does that work?

A: You will only be expected to submit one work to the zine. You may apply for as many of the roles as you'd like, but you can only be accepted for one role!

Q: I don't have much social media presence, especially within the HSR fandom. Is that okay?

A: Social media presence is not required and won't impact our evaluation of your portfolio. We review all applications equally.

Q: What are the approximate max word counts for writer applications and for written pieces?

A: Please reference our info guide for full details. In short, writer portfolios should contain 1-3 samples under 3k words. One sample must be a complete story within 1.5-2.5k words!

We also asked what classes you want the Professor to teach this semester! All the content choices were fairly popular, but our winner was Canonverse content. AGNOSCO will be allowing and encouraging all of the concepts listed here from its contributors!

Lots of prospective students are interested in souvenirs from the class! Although we’re leaving the final merch decisions up to our Merch Artists, the zine’s digital merch package will include several of the most popular items. 🔖

The majority of respondents were just as excited about the professor’s return as we are! Many of you want to support the zine as buyers, but a good number are interested in contributing too—keep an eye out for contributor apps opening on 28 November!
