intrigued, we watched Cure the following day. Hard to know where to even begin with this one, wow wow wow. Kurosawa is a visionary.

I finally got around to watching Pulse (2001, obviously, I can't believe someone had the audacity to attempt an English language remake) and wow, what a film. This is definitely up there as one of my favourite horror movies. Poignant, absolutely terrifying and just deeply, deeply sad.

All of the brownie points go to Kevin for spontaneously booking a trip to the zoo (where we had our first date) for our ten year anniversary yesterday. Unfortunately, he loses the brownie points for taking only two photos of me with the sloth, and this helpful photo where my eyes are closed.

A few of last night's results - popping some vaseline on sections of the negative before submersing is a really nice way to mask an area of the image so the effects aren't impacting the whole frame. Fun stuff!

In between Drieving (David Lynch grieving), I've been working on a fun personal project of damaging some old 35mm negatives, I've also been playing around with digitally drawing on them. It makes me feel like a mad scientist and creates some fun results with film I otherwise wouldn't use.
