Yes it’s hard to verbally convince and there’s also the big fight about who should own research, product or design. Marty Cagan books tend to lean to former and our stakeholders are following that. Good thing is they realised how they’ve disengaged design but don’t yet fully grasp what it means.

At my tech company, dairy studies is next to 0. Usability at 70%, surveys at 20% and card sort tree tests in the remaining 10. The owner doesn’t yet grasp user research done by design BEFORE UI design yet so we’re going step by step at converting to methods.

Feeling of pointlessness while working in a graphic design agency & wanting to do something with the research methods I’d enjoyed using while doing bachelors in human geography made me stumble across this discipline. It’s weird how everything connects.

The Microsoft security structure is full of this 😂 As a UX designer working within the powerapps ecosystem I spend half my life explaining - that’s not our product’s UX that’s Microsoft! Not that the end users care but their stakeholders buy this product because it’s in the MS ecosystem. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Reddit might be (?) doing this way better than the rest of the social media consumed at mass. Haven’t had any trouble there yet.

Hello would’ve been marked as spam but only makes sense if one is sending it to those are not your connection. LinkedIn failed its own automated tests. Ugh. I have similar issues with Facebook as well, everything goes against their (arbitrary) “community standards”.
