3)Gators would have a feast on any deer or dogs before any hunter got to them. Especially if a hunter had to bring the dead deer back in a boat, gators would take full advantage of that. Any loca would know better, its a huge risk for injury.

2) My biggest frustration by far, is the fear of dogs because of the hunters having them. You don't take dogs to hunt deer ever. Deer get spooked easy as is, so why would there ever be dogs? There are dogs used for hunting different animals like raccoons and birds.

1) If Alastor was disposing of a body in a swamp, at night, there wouldn't be any deer hunters out. Especially in a swamp. It makes sense for Alastor to be out there at night, if he knew the swamps and how to navigate all the gators. Most likely be in a boat at one point.
