I’ve been reading Shadow & Claw, by Gene Wolfe. It’s a strange deep future. The events are sometimes exciting, but the narrator is contemplative and we see only through his recollection. Multiple times he claims not to have forgotten anything, but I’m not sure that means he’s reliable. God so far.
