This album was more in keeping with the spirit of Annie and Dave’s previous band, the Tourists (which I preferred). Their albums, “Reality Effect” and “Luminous Basement”, still get rotation on my turntable.

She also recorded and performed with Matthew Sweet under the name Sid and Susie, doing covers of 60s and 70s tunes, and she participated in the Rainy Day one-off project with members of other Paisley Underground bands, also playing 60s cover tunes.

Saw them when they toured in support of this album and “New Day Rising”! Brilliant!

Also loved the tunes “Shiney Shiney“ and “John Wayne Is Big Leggy”! They were definitely an odd duo!
