At the absolute bare minimum I'd like to see the show not tolerate racism on their socials pages and not brushing racism under the rug on the actual show, but the show is never going to do that and it's disappointing how little they care.

So if they even make it to the finals you get a Charity or Normani situation, and nothing they do is ever good enough. I don't know what you do about it because short of having a Simone or Zendaya return, which isn't happening, the only way I see it happening is if they get paired with a Derek.

Just watched & for me it's less about Chandler specifically but the pattern of this show with Black women who usually get reemed by fans for their personality- people claiming they are cocky/entitled, or getting mad if they previous dance training, but don't have that issue with men or white women.

I'll check it out, thanks.

I tend to agree. It's obvious they need to mix up the judging panel somewhat and I'm sure they prob want Mark after this season but I don't think it's as straightforward as a lot of the fans make it. I also agree that I feel like TPTB probably like the CA controversy to some degree.

This is like the same people that were saying Stewie was over the hill and declining at 29.

This article is interesting but the acting like 30 years olds in the league are on the decline and practically washed up needs to stop.

first black couple, but the show probably doesn't want to draw attention to that since there have only been 3 black pros and the first one didn't appear until 10 years into the shows existence.

The fact that the show is impossible to win as a black woman is a problem, except maybe if Derek were to come back where people are voting for the pro to a ridiculous degree. The fact that the show would rather talkl about Joey being the first Bachelor to make the finals instead of C/B being the

The judging needs to change, but it's a much deeper issue. It bothers me seeing more people concerned about Joey not getting a 10 than about the overall rampant racism, particularly as it pertains to black women on this show, which the show refuses to acknowledge or address.

I also think people need to think about replacing CA more deeply than that because I'm not against replacing her, but replacing the only POC on the panel with another white person? DWTS has enough issues in that department with racism.

But then if Nneka didn't know the team was having meetings without her that may certainly change her motivation to stay. I also feel like we're narrowing on teams that have functioning front offices, coaching staffs and the investment from owners that make people want to be there.
November 16, 2024 at 7:26 PM
Yeah, I definitely agree Jewell seemed off this season but I'm just so curious what happens now as before all this dropped it didn't seem like either Nneka or Skylar wanted out, but maybe Jewell does?
November 16, 2024 at 7:24 PM
Yeah, that's my confusion because if SDS was liked by and on the side of the coaches, why was Nneka the only one excluded? Also since Nneka and Skylar were both new, if there were issues that were there pre their joining the team, I wouldn't expect either to know that going in to their 1st year.

Maybe, but it's not a good look for her teammates either until we know more of the actual situation. But I also think it's partially why you can't just try and make a super team and throw a bunch of personalities together without the buy-in from everyone involved, including leadership.

Aim big. They will be 50 in no time.
