60% of the public don't really give a damn as long as the football game is on TV, the groceries are still available and the trains run on time. The media, to them, is just another product to be sampled and they will usually listen to what's the most digestible rather than what's the most informed

This 20% is composed of so many diverse voices and opinions, that it's hard to think of it as a single entity. There is a 'leadership' of a sort that is frightfully ignorant of reality and frequently caters to the part of the 20% that supports them rather than reach out to the 60%.

20% of the public is anti-Maga and Anti-fascist but they are by and large not a very vocal group (although that is changing as the outrage grows) and suffer from lack of media coverage who choose to portray them in the same light at the pro-Maga forces, in spite of even the most cursory reporting

This 20% is unified in ways that are suggestive of a cult-like persona, where the leadership/driving force can do no wrong as long as the 20% remain in power. It is so unified that, for the most part, no matter how bad things are, the most you can hope for is that they don't vote.

I have doubts that the current Democratic leadership has the understanding, much less the ability, to lead us out of the abyss. It was their tepid response to what's happened in the past that allowed what's happening now to take place.
I just don't think they're willing to do what's necessary.

Considering the talent level around him, in a game like that, Stroud has to be nearly perfect to lead the Texans anywhere. Stroud is many things but nearly perfect is not one of them. He may be in the future, but the regression is not a good sign.
