Last Weekend I had the honor of serving in the All Souls Procession media circle again. It's a whole lot of work marching and documenting this event but moments like this make it all worth volunteering my time.  #allsoulsprocession

A great frame from timelapse 2 on Tuesday night that caught some aurora and a meteor with the famous ballerina saguaro! #aurora #tucson #saguaro #visittucson

Had a great time last night going out to photograph the comet, got mostly clouded out but wound up having some light painting fun with my new RGB light bar.

📸 Canon 6D: Canon 35mm 1.4. A blend of 2 exposures from the same tripod footing.

Last night was an amazing sunset time out on Broadway trailhead. I got to see a friend out there doing a photo shoot and watched a crazy storm start dropping a ton of lightning bolts! I counted 104 lightning bolts from my timelapses on last night's live stream!

Got to do coffee this morning with @dannymartinart_ and watch him work a bit on a new mural downtown on a wall of the @vitnagewest store. A truly beautiful morning for some new art and conversation.

Tonight is a rare celestial event! A black moon; a second new moon in the same month. If the skies are clear, it will be a great opportunity to view the milky way! This is a recent photo captured near luna lake in Alpine AZ which has amazing dark skies. #blackmoon #milkyway

A brief moment last night during the storms where I was able to capture the Milky way and a distant lightning strike. #azwx #monsoon

Last night's sunset storm was amazing. I was a little late to the party but was able to make this composite image of the tail end of sunset with a few of the bolts I caught from this spot throughout the night. #azwx #monsoon #tucson

A few more captures from out on greasewood the other night with @kelvinaz_photo @jessej.media and @dipidiriphotos. This monsoon has been pretty slow lately, these strikes were very spaced out, but it was great to hang out and watch nature with some friends. #monsoon #tucson

2 different crops of my bolt catch of the night last night. I went out late at 11pm to go witness some storms pass over Tucson and Marana. Really cool to see lightning and the stars.

Was a great night with @kelvinaz_photo @jessej.media and @dipidiriphotos

If anyone is interested in seeing my presentation that I did on storm photography at the Desert Museum a few weeks ago I also did an earlier version of that for Climate Tucson on zoom that was recorded and posted here: https://youtu.be/9E9J1agFq1g

Yesterday was a great storm day here's the one that chased us out of our spot. The lightning was striking behind the mountain then this one hit with instant thunder. I wish I pulled up radar and calculated the distance, but this was photographed at 15mm. #monsoon2025 #azwx

Garden of the gods Colorado. It was a foggy day but really left for some dramatic landscape views.

I really love framing up scenes between saguaro cacti. The particular challenge here is I was shooting at a very shallow depth of field, so I focus stacked this. How'd I do?

Golden hour with golden palo verde bloom as seen on the loop bike path near Michael Perry park

Allergies or not, these trees have been a sight to behold all around Tucson.

24 image panoramic view at the Haleakalā National Park in Maui Hawaii. This view overlooks Maui and also had a great view of the milky way despite the moon being out.
