You can tell a lot of people don't watch baseball regularly, only a few World Series games. So many unfamiliar with ground rule double/ dead ball rules. It's not extremely rare. It just happened to be in a WS game everyone was watching. Toronto raised no objections. And they didn't lose because it.

Chipmunks- I'm convinced someone crossed a rat and a squirrel, then further bred them to aggressively destroy roots and gardens. Someone who really hated gardens and gardeners. Nothing with no redeeming value but destruction evolved naturally. These were sent upon us by an evil scientist.

The Cubs won the WS early November 2016. And we went down a rabbit hole. Where evil is good and decency is bad and nothing makes sense. I'm a Dodgers fan. But maybe, just maybe the Cubs need to win it all again, and somehow we go back through that weird wormhole to a better time line?
