There's a Transformers mercenary named Doubledealer, and he works for the Autobots or Decepticons depending on which of two Powermaster engine figures is plugged into him. This is Skar, the Decepticon Powermaster, a literal... evil engine.

Gears has been my favorite desk toy lately. Simple to transform without being super basic. Plus he has a Grumpy Bear personality, which is always fun.

This is too complicated to be my first set, but it's the oldest one I have distinct memories of.

The Star Wars X-Wing series is a good example, particularly since I found an image of all the covers. Most of these are events that happen in the books, but they seem almost completely incidental in the story, or a lot of hoops get jumped through to get to them.

In the comics, instead of searching for a youth spell, Silvermane deals with aging by attaching his head to a robot body.
He then loses the body and ends up stuck on an RC car.

Okay, I know some of these are bots, and about 1/4 of them I've blocked but are still part of the count because that's how this place works, but I've never had over 100 followers before.

The third arc of Robotech had a guy named Lunk who had the same character design as Hunk from Voltron, big guy with a yellow headband. I know they didn't have rhyming names in the original Japanese versions, but still.

It reminds me of the NacelleVerse, an attempt to cash in on the popularity of the current Transformers and GI Joe comics shared universe with whatever random characters they could get the rights to.

Transformers, but if I had to pick one, my current favorite is Gears, he's super fast to transform without feeling too simple.

I know 51 followers isn't a lot, but it's more than I have on Mastodon and I was shocked to have such a high follower count there.
