He keeps confusing AI with A1 just like his DOE Director does. Poor bastards are all imbeciles.

Poor bastard?

He's only leaving to get out of the hot seat. He sees his fortunes are taking a hit. It scares him. Let's keep the heat on. Let's reduce him to a thousandaire.

Did they though? Who was in charge of those programs? Were they ever adequately funded?

Instead of blaming miners for voting the way they did, put yourself in their shoes. Mines are located in semi remote areas where jobs are not plentiful. You have a family to feed and bills to pay. Nothing in your area pays very well, but mining. Think about that. They do, often.

Good article by Norm Eisen in the Contrarian on this. He pointed out that while Paul Weiss could have withstood this threat he may have felt it prudent to give in, to protect some of his clients, and to prevent the firm from breaking up with attorneys taking books of clients with them.

I get what you're saying. Fact is there's a shit load of Seniors who rely on their SS & Medicare benefits just to survive. That's all they have. Many are Democrats. I'm not willing to sacrifice them, are you?
You can speculate all you want but Seniors and poor folks are important & so r their needs.

trump for signing. Since magas stated goal is to shut down the government, why would they want to anger their core base and reopen any time soon? They already get threatened with being primaried. That's their big fear. Losing that power and the spoils that go with it. What will force them?

Nice article, but Josh really doesn't get into the why's and wherefore of the issue at hand.
Simply put: Republicans are in control of all 3 branches. Had we gone to a shutdown, then the question becomes how and when will we reopen. It takes both houses to agree to open, make a budget, send it to

There's a time and place to fight. At this time, they have the upper hand. It's prudent to wait for a better opportunity. There is no need to piss on ourseleves at this point. I believe the odds will be in our favor sooner rather than later. Public sentiment will make that happen.
March 15, 2025 at 5:05 PM
Let's say we shut the Government down. When would it reopen? 1 mo, 3 mos, 6 mos, 1 year? Who could force them to reopen it? Republicans are in the majority. No Government means they could allocate money to where they only want it. Do you think they'd fund the Courts? Seriously, think about it.

I realize that. But many of our problems with working class voters started with NAFTA, then CAFTA, which led to the working class getting SHAFTA. The anger has been brewing for a long time. It needs to be addressed and remedied somehow.
March 8, 2025 at 3:03 AM
I believe he's onto something there. The Democrats have long ignored the Working class and our issues. We all want basically the same things. Good schools, neighborhoods, clean air & water, job security, good pay and benefits. Who doesn't want these things? Well, Corporations don't, nor the Wealthy.

That's how I interpreted it. Green Light!

And it will be about as successful as the d.a.r.e program.
