Also I totally convinced the surgeon to give me my testicles in a plastic bag (tied with an elastic!), then used some formaldehyde we bought from someone off the street to preserve it in the Airbnb so I could get them home and stick them in a jar beside my femur.

We left that part out of the guide

All in, we spent about $2,000 per person, including airfare, from locations ranging from the US to Europe, but we think more careful planning could get the cost down to as low as $1600.

This is sometimes even cheaper than someone will be paying, after insurance, in the US.
