there is fair criticism in the idea that you don't expend a lot of mental effort learning a new task using a tool that does the work for you, but it is not unique to llms. you would get similar results from learning to perform division by hand vs. using a calculator. but this is not what was argued.

i don't take a lot of stock in people who argue by posting anything that agrees with them without further analysis. in this case an article by libertarian anti-vaxxers that made up the term 'cognitive decline' (which suggests llms cause dementia) and a summary containing factual errors.

a good psych shouldn't be questioning your decision. nothing beyond checking that you appear sound of mind and understand the procedure and recovery for indemnity reasons. GRS is unusual and i can understand why you'd want a third party involved in informed consent. it's pretty bs for BA though.
