I've been an avid viewer of "60 Minutes" for years. If I wasn't home, I'd tape it in the old days and in the recent years DVR'd it. I've removed it from my 'record' line-up and have NO intention of watching it again unless this woman is fired. That's all.

The right wing loons think that if they keep ignoring the fact that 73% of those arrested have committed no crimes that it'll be true. But they don't believe in facts and figures. We all know that.

All I can say is--ANY Democratic nominee for Pres in 2028 who doesn't vow to hold these inveterate liars accountable will lose & if they *do* vow to do so during their campaign but go back on their word--they will be a one-term President. [See Ford, Gerald R.)

The reason nothing is happening is Republicans in the House & Senate. Our Constitution was designed with the thought that SANE leaders would hold INsane leaders accountable, even from their own party. The ones that might speak up are afraid of being primaried or having their districts penalized.

They weren't ashamed of where they were from but they wanted acceptance especially for their children so they learned English and typical US customs. I don't think today that impetus to 'fit in' isn't as strong as it was in the early 20th century which is what gets the bigots all worked up.

My grandparents came to the US in the early 1900s. Back then, there was a strong desire to "fit in" so consequently, they only taught their kids (my parents) English. They still upheld some cultural traditions in the home,( eg. food and worship) but they all felt strongly about assimilating.

Two things: If the young men are under 25, their frontal lobes are not yet fully-formed. Secondly, at this age, they're still very much influenced by their parents' politics.
