Walter Reuther was wounded by a shotgun blast in 1948. No one was ever convicted of the attack, and the FBI refused to investigate. Reuther's enemies were successful in assassinating him in 1970 in a sabotaged plane. The FBI was responsible for an investigation but never conducted one.

I see very little disruption in the profession and wonder why historians are such avid defenders of the status quo.
U.S. AID is a conduit for CIA funds. This is not being talked about. The references to "national security" are in regard to documents concerning CIA funds and operations. The Solidarity Center, a human rights group partnered with the AFL-CIO, received 94% of its money from government sources.
