I believe Congressman Johnson's smile is surgically implanted...

We need a vision that turns the Oligarchy Boat around. Big Business now regulates Government. ! $$$ ! Buying elections in Argentina. Starving the unemployed. Attacking Art & Humanities. We need a Congress that legislates Citizens United out of existence. We need Blue States to fight Redistricting.

Politics is the illusion of governing.

In the Senate, a budget bill requires 60 votes (2/3 majority). A budget resolution needs instructions to specified committees to make changes to laws/policies to achieve a particular budget outcome requiring only simple majority approval. Otherwise, they need some Democrats to approve.

After a visit to old Argentina,
With my wife, a great ballerina,
Who had danced some tangos,
Ate too many mangoes,
Contracted a case of bolemia.

Yes, I've been opposed to our support of the Gaza overkill ever since it started with Blinken, who represents our country abroad, telling Netanyahu in Israel it was "personal" for him. Israel took that and his other statements as a blank check from us.

I am appalled at what's happening. I have no way of stopping it beyond writing my Congressman and two senators and President Biden that my tax dollars should not pay for killing innocent men women and babies. Not a personal statement when I told them I was on the side of peace. They should be too.

And your second album would be called, Lesser Hits.

It's only when I'm NOT reading (or writing) that I feel guilty. Reading is liberating. As a former librarian, I've liberated many.

The majority of voters did not vote for the Evil One. Less than 50%. The rest of us are with Canada.

If it didn't happen to you, don't take it personally. Not your burden, but I donate to helpful organizations that feed and heal people.

Nothing is permanent. Everything evolves. If we ever needed to know our democracy's weak points, this experience is enlightening. Now is the time to formulate corrections before 2028. Project 2025 (1925) didn't happen overnight. Brookings needs to get busy!

Kindness given travels to, through and beyond the person receiving, like a ripple from a stone tossed on the ocean's surface continues beyond the horizon and back.

On 28 January 2015, the Air Force announced that the Boeing 747-8 would be the next presidential aircraft. The US Government Accountability Office estimated the total cost at $3.2 billion, and the US Air Force's budget for the program projected to be nearly $4 billion. Hundreds of millions is less.

The purpose of a business is to make a profit, not to fulfill any humanitarian need. Nurses in Europe were historically called sisters due to the close association between nursing and religious institutions. A far cry from medical service for money.

I remember trying to read before 1st grade, before being taught. Wanted it so bad.

Somehow riding a horse backward into Country Music seems appropriate for Beyonce.
