Harbor freight has a affordable anvil and Mr Volcano single burner forge is about 100.00. I watched some YouTube tutorials but recommend starting with mild steel. Just practice making it flat and straight. Then go from there. But be careful because you can do some damage in a instant.

Thank you. It is a craft that I feel like I was always meant to do. I didn’t make my first knife until I was almost 42. So it’s really never too late to start.
