I completely agree with you. Starmer is despicable in my view and Corbyn is just not credible as a political leader. But I struggle to see who in the LP would be able or willing to provide the alternative thinking we desperately need. Perhaps someone might emerge over the next couple of years.

Farage always claims that this Brexit is not the real Brexit, that only he can deliver the real thing and stupid people believe him. Which is why Labour and not him will carry the can. And let’s not forget Corbyn is a Brexit supporter too.

Brexit and the damage is is doing is going to become increasingly unpopular and it will get hung around the Labour Party’s neck by the next election. For the sake of self preservation alone Labour need to change course and drop those stupid ‘red lines’.

When they start using terms like ‘nuts’ it’s because they don’t have any political arguments.

Brexit is doing more damage by the day. Much of the damage is structural e.g. SMEs not growing as they should, being effectively shut out of key markets by Brexit red tape. We can’t afford inaction due to ‘red lines’ in a manifesto that is at best a dead letter now.

There just are no positive outcomes from this anti-immigrant politicking. It has emboldened racists, frightened people, created labour shortages, underfunded universities, does not work in itself and is ultimately ruinous for the country. It’s also deeply undemocratic because it is so dishonest.

Protectionism, which is what this is, will result in massive harm to the car manufacturers who accept it because their products will not be competitive as a result. One would think they would take the decline of Detroit as a warning but it seems not.
