What it means to be an artist is different for everyone, but we all start somewhere and the early parts of your journey should be seen as just as important as when you finally feel comfortable enough to no longer consider yourself 'amateur'

'Amateur' artists are still learning how to define themselves and the fact that someone is willing to pick up a pen and keep going, keep trying to reinvent themselves through their art is really what art is to me. It's even more heartwarming when they're new to art as a whole because -

All of my characters are small in my mind, small enough for me to pick up and carry around in a pocket, but Dios and friends are the only ones so far that are actually just that small
