We also have something the world DOESN'T want: enough dirty oil to obliterate any hope of mitigating the climate crisis. What good is nation building if it destroys the planet?

First, do no harm = eugenics? I think they need a new translator. They might look at getting their moral compass recalibrated while they're at it. 😬

Those Toshiba CRT TVs were bullet proof, & had an excellent picture for the time.

Hmmmm. 7th best SOL (Cdn) vs 59th (US).

This is what else happens in a 2-tier system: patients who are complex cases, or who deteriorate precipitously. are offloaded onto the public system. Furthermore, outcomes in private systems are NOT better. They're often worse.

I'm finding less & less to like about our PM. Unfortunately, I worship him relative to the pitiful alternatives currently available. I feel like I've been sold a false bill of goods.

Unless it's nuclear... then maybe New Zealand. Maybe.

Where, exactly, are they expecting to get the staff? Unless the private system is paying substantially more (no savings there), in which case the public system will be decimated, there aren't surplus healthcare workers to go around. Note that %$ is within 2-3% when the US system is excluded.

Well... our Premier isn't exactly an academic! Ex-drug dealer, college drop out, never met a developer he didn't like, loves cars & highways more than class 1 agricultural land...

How quickly will courage and bravery vanish when the guns are aimed? 😪 I pray we don't have to find out!

I learned to drive on a '66 Ford F150 w/ "3-on-the-tree". If you didn't shift exactly right from 1st to 2nd, the transaxle would lock & the truck would come to a screeching halt! (Never did for me... my Dad warned me about it!) Can you say "double-clutch"!

It would be a lot more efficient without the inherent intrasigence of those enamoured with the status quo. Quality evidence is much easier to generate than the acceptance thereof.

The early 60's models were variations of this design. I liked the '60-'61. They had cool "eyebrows" over the headlights.

I believe that's a '59.
