This weekend RCSI celebrated its annual Teddy Bear Hospital in aid of Oscar's Kids Ireland.

Over 600 children brought teddies for check-ups and surgical procedures. The children were able to explore 16 stations including x–ray, dentistry, phlebotomy and mental health.

Research led by The University of Edinburgh, in collaboration with RCSI's Dr Edmund Gilbert, has mapped the genetics of haemochromatosis across the UK and Ireland.

The study analysed data from 400,000 people and identified hotspots in Irish and Scottish populations.

A new study shows young people in Ireland are increasingly being diagnosed with spinal cord damage from recreational use of nitrous oxide.

Led by Prof Seamus Looby of RCSI and Beaumont Hospital, the findings show cases have spiked since the pandemic.

CD4+ T cells are revealed as potential drivers of blood clotting in inflammatory bowel disease in a study by researchers from RCSI School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences.
