We've had many eating challenges with our 11 yr old son. He's been trying new things lately, asked for fish. I cooked an easy one to try - pan seared tilapia seasoned with lemon pepper. He loved it! Wants to try salmon next. Being a dad rules, for sure.

I recently read the GAEA trilogy. I was a little unconvinced, but ended up really enjoying them. He was a good writer.

I am trying to teach my kids the same. And I'll keep trying. I read that our life is a book we write each day & our most humbling moment is at the end when we compare what we wrote to what we wanted to write. I hope I can be proud of Darin, the book. I hope you can be proud of yours. It's worth it.

I keep thinking about late nights in college, drunk and stoned into oblivion, making these really deep observations, feeling brilliant and then sobering up and realizing no, not brilliant, just dumber than a sack of hair. She appears to have skipped the sobering awareness part.

I hate that they meet at such a beautiful place so close to where I live. It really detracts from being able to enjoy going there. My grandfather was almost killed fighting nazis. They should have no place here, or anywhere.

One of the things I love about his sound is how raw it is. He's just jamming and having fun. It's accessible to guys like me who jam in the basement with friends. It's just fun music. All of them were grinning and having a blast. That's infectious and works for me.
