AI is like the next GUI moment for computers and technology. From computers being limited to only those comfortable with using the command line to most people who could use a mouse and keyboard to select things.

Similarly AI is democratizing stuff, but at the expense of high cost & resource usage

Isn’t it weird how we live on one planet but have less freedom to move about in it than wild birds do? 🤔

From an ex-muslim i learnt, it is technically against their religion to leave Islam, and they were thus afraid to travel to any Muslim majority country out of fear for their life!

Why should the world be tolerant of any religion that is intolerant of others, especially against women’s freedoms?

In neighboring countries with islamic majorities, I’ve read of cases where women were killed because they didn’t do ‘their duties’.

It’s ironic how intolerant they’re of other religions and the LGBTQIA community especially if they’re the majority religion of a country.

I’m hearing that Instagram, FB and Threads are down for some people right now :3 I think that alone should be enough reason for people to switch from threads to something like BlueSky :)

And I mean literal slavery. The number of people in slavery has increased compared to amounts in 2016.

And there’s more humans in slavery now, than at any point in human history including when slavery was still considered legal by states!

Did you know that most tea pluckers in the world are still in poverty?

So why people migrate to rich economies? It's to stop subsidizing costs of goods and services for those in rich economies, with their low wages.

And get a salary that they deserve for their skills and time.

I mean I love cars, but I can't even afford a 15+ year old car as an engineer here.

Being born in a lovely country, after going through school and then picking a damn hard engineering degree and finally completing it;

Thanks simply to arbitrary remuneration for work, it would take the SUM of 4 years of annual pay to buy a decade old GT 86 car, with a salary that's over 2X mine.

5 out of 7 days a week, wake up at 5:30 and give my life to work till I get home at 18:30. Hardly any time left for self besides eating and sleeping on a workday.

If that's my life, shouldn't I be doing something I find interesting & fulfilling as work?

If not what am I living most of my life for?
March 11, 2024 at 6:19 PM
I'm questioning the reason we live. Like if my future doesn't look enticing, If I can't afford housing in this crazy economy and can't even afford my own car that I've dreamt of since I was a kid... If I can't afford to travel and see the world

What have I got to look forward to in life?

Why do we iron clothes for work? It's a waste of energy, time and it is uncompensated.

Why have people given so much power to their workplaces?
