The truth is "tough on crime" doesn't have anything to do with crime. The reality is Dems have internalized it as "looking like you're too soft on brown people" and they think pushing against the stormfront regime might hurt them in some diners in Iowa.

You can repeat this with the border.

The best way to describe it is Senate Dems want to be persuaded whatever it takes to do nothing and have zero risk and David Shor has made a lot of money putting out data science slop to absolve Dems of any accountability.

It's still crazy that the Dem caucus didn't want to do anything for the sole reason it would have impacted their ability to go home early and fundraise. They've turned the senate into a cushy meal ticket.

I'm sure it is something they will try, but one of those "once you open that door, you can't exactly unopen it." Even in states with red governors I'm sure the bluer counties will still try to have their elections. Even beyond that at some point the generals look around and know what has to happen.

I think it was a question if we offered more if Boston would have matched with their funky options contract.

Colt either has to be an everyday third baseman, we need to sign one in FA, or we need someone like Hao-Yu Lee to work out. We're kind of over performing on the production you could expect.
