Eric went back and did the work, finding that FDR had campaigned in detail on these proposals.
Why does that matter? It dismisses the line that FDR didn’t really have a mandate for the New Deal because he was vague and voters just hated Hoover. Nope. He laid out a plan and they voted for it.
