Nights with Him by Lauren Blakely

3.25⭐

🎧

Way more smut than plot. The plot that was there, I couldn't find myself caring about. I liked the characters, but they seemed to only have sex brains. I much prefer Lauren's more modern books. I did like the full cast narration.

One Golden Summer by Carley Fortune

5⭐

🎧

She did it again! I will always love the way she lets relationships develop and how she employs setting. This story does it exceptionally well.

Book 90 of 2025 💙📚

Sara's Game by Ernie Lindsey

4⭐

📖

It was fine. I liked it more as the story went on. I felt like the main lady was a bit frustratingly dumb at times though.

The Brave Bats of Congress Avenue Bridge by Sandra LJ

4.75⭐

📱

It has a nice portrayal of fear and how learning more can help you overcome fear. This story also includes a narrative of bravery that is an important lesson for young readers. The illustrations are beautiful.

You Too?: 25 Voices Share Their Me Too Stories by Janet Gurtler

4.75⭐

Book 87 of 2025 💙📚

The First to Die at the End by Adam Silvera

5⭐

📖

A super easy 5-star if you ignore the bonus content. The bonus content was not a win in my book. It made me dislike her character. I will always find this world to be such an interesting though experiment.

Book 86 of 2025 💙📚

Unprotected: A Memoir by Billy Porter

4.75⭐

🎧

What a powerful and empowering story. Billy is so raw with his life experiences, and I couldn't get enough. He has always been a FANTASTIC storyteller, and this book just proves that! Him being the narrator was just perfect!

Book 85 of 2025 💙📚

Pillow Thoughts by Courtney Peppernell

5⭐

📖

This book will forever stay with me, for that I am very certain. I love how it conveys all the aspects both positive and negative about love. It shows the highs of new love, and the lows of lost love in such a beautiful way.

The Overtime Kiss by Lauren Blakely

4.5⭐

🎧

The kids in this book totally stole my heart. The casting choices were perfect as they are such an iconic narrator duo. A bit too much page count was taken up by spicy scenes for my taste, at least it was open and communicative

Book 84 of 2025 💙📚🌶️

The Bad Boy Rule by Maren Moore

4.75⭐

📱

It was filled with moments that make me swoon and feel deeply. The banter & teasing play into tension & frustration while still having lighthearted moments. Seeing them work together to take down bad dads was fantastic

Book 83 of 2025 💙📚🌶️

Forechecked by Forever by Ariana St. Claire

3.75⭐

📱

I would've liked a bit more character development between the past and present. I loved the characters and, as such, want to see them grow together. The involvement of the side characters was by far my favorite.

Book 81 of 2025 💙📚🌶️

Battle of the Bookstores by Ali Brady

4.25⭐

📱

It took some time for me to understand and like Josie. It was the perfect rivals-to-lovers narrative. There is a lot of miscommunication. If you dislike that trope, this isn't the book for you.

I adore the variety of history this one has. It demonstrates how transness is not a new concept. It has beautiful illustrations paired with a ton of helpful information.

4.5⭐

🎧

Wow, oh wow, did this book have a dynamic start. The book I didn't know I needed. I do want to applaud the little things about this book, including a helpful map and a nice, varied playlist. I admire the cat Stormy bonding the MCs.

Midnights With You by Clare Osongco

Not all that memorable. I'm sorry, but the plot with the mom is insane. (This is genuinely all I wrote in May 😅)

Book 70 of 2025 💙📚🌶️

The Greatest of These by Erin FitzGerald

4.75⭐

📱

I can say that by far my favorite part of this book (and series thus far) is Donna's meddling. Reading this has felt like coming home. Erin demonstrated that she is a master at blending in thrilling elements to her romances.

Book 68 of 2025 💙📚💡

Beautiful Ugly by Alice Feeney

3.75⭐

🎧

This one unfortunately did not live up to the hype for me. It was only so-so. The characterization is not what I hoped it would be.

Book 67 of 2025 💙📚💡

The Woman in Me by Britney Spears

4⭐

🎧

Not gonna say much as it is a life story, but I was honestly expecting a bit more from it. I wanted to hear more about how she's grown from the bullshit she's experienced. I am very happy she got the chance to speak for herself.

Book 66 of 2025 💙📚🌶️

Destructively Mine by Krista and Becca Ritchie

5⭐

📱

I am thoroughly obsessed with this book & characters. They are the perfect morally grey characters that have me totally rooting for them while still questioning their choices. This one is even more twisted than the first.

Book 65 of 2025 💙📚🌶️

Beneath the Stands by Emily McIntire

3⭐

🎧

I started absolutely loving this book, then, everything took a turn, and I started liking it less and less. Both of them are awful people by the end, yet we are supposed to see them as redeemed, which I simply cannot do.

Book 64 of 2025 💙📚🌶️

You're Invited by Amanda Jayatissa

4.5⭐

🎧

I loved the initial calm yet eerie vibe. The complicated relationships & spread of gossip propelled the narrative wonderfully. I totally thought I knew where the book was going, but the twists at the end truly threw me for a loop.
