Hence, I think due to the randomness of the timing for the “button activation” it has to be triggered by a person, likely not well paid, who went for a quick tea or coffee before they had to switch the free v paywall broadcast on 3/3

I used to run into this when I logged in early to men’s matches. Then I’d bus myself trying to log out/in clear cookies etc, only to find shortly that the button suddenly became active. A few times I did nothing except refresh - & the button activated (once just a few mins before the match). 2/3

I have a theory. It’s entirely unsupported by any evidence. Here it is. There’s a human person responsible for activating the free/paid livestream button label ahead of matches. Until they do, the action button defaults to the ‘buy match pass’ label 1/3

It is. But they’ve played one less match. So… hoping they get repeatedly pummeled is the mood I’m going for 🤷‍♀️ 😈
