I’d really like to see a modern Columbo. The same style of storytelling, the same format but featuring Columbo’s grandchild. Diver the child is investigating gets to hear all about how such a great detective the grandfather was and how they’re just not as good. But they are.

The various combinations of “new”, “improved” and “recipe” always mean “we’ve found a way to make this cheaper and you probably won’t notice that it doesn’t taste as good.” But we do. We always do.

I truly hate single use plastic and individually wrapping anything in plastic really annoys me. It’s just so wasteful and irresponsible.

I don’t think Suicide Squad could ever be described as a good film, even calling it average might be generous, but I actually like it and I keep watching it.

I finally watched the 2017 version of Flatliners. The best I can say about it is that it was “meh”. Still, Diego Luna was in it and I always get happy when I see him in something.

I’ve gone from having one diagnosis of ADHD to having one diagnosis saying I have ADHD and one saying I haven’t. I am so lost right now and I have no idea where I stand. Best out of three?

Aussie Rules footy is the best footy.

I bought a second-hand PS2 a few months ago and I’m slowly rebuilding my old game catalogue. The thought occurs that PS2 games are a lot more janky than I remember.

Evri are the absolute worst. They’ve got one job to do. One! Yet, somehow, they consistently fail.

Germany’s Eurovision entry this year “Baller” was an absolute banger. It still is. It’s brilliant.

Yesterday I discovered Witch of the Vale’s cover of “Boys of Summer”. That’s it. I’m done now. It’s just on repeat for the rest of the day. Well, I might slip in their “Gods and Monsters” cover occasionally. But that’s it.

I really do wish that people would realise that having an album by an artist that features another artist on a track or two is NOT a compilation. I mean, really, how hard is that to understand?

I really do dislike the macOS Music app. It’s so slow and buggy that it makes using it painful.
However, it seems to be the only app capable of writing ID3 tags that Twonky is happy with.
I really need Twonky to support ID3v2.4, it’s only 25 years old, after all. It should be supported.

Quite a number of really weird choices from Eurovision semi-final 1. Can’t help wondering what’s going to happen with semi-final 2.

Why are there transaction fees on electronic ticket? It’s not like anybody had to do anything, it all automated. Just seems like corporate greed.

Robocop: Rogue City is not a good game. The cut scenes are truly awful and the plot is questionable but I actually had fun playing it. Star Wars: Outlaws is just boring. I don’t know how they’ve made Star Wars that dull but it’s just… ugh.

What next? Probably Deathloop (again)

I think it’s pretty safe to say that the UK has no chance of winning Eurovision this year.

I know people say don’t judge a book by its cover but that’s exactly what I do. I’ve made so many random purchases based purely on the cover art it’s not funny. Thing is, I’ve never been disappointed either.

Having finished Veilguard I’m now onto Robocop and, so far, it’s bad. Pixelation everywhere (I can’t help wondering if that’s deliberate though) and truly awful acting in the cut scenes. Worse than B-movie bad. Oddly it’s strangely compelling though, I’ll see how long it lasts.

Finally finished DragonAge Veilguard and I genuinely think it’s a brilliant game. Some levelling issues at times but a proper good story and one I was really nervous to finish because I ended up really caring about all my friends. I would definitely recommend it.

Star Trek: The Motion Picture is proper science fiction and the director’s cut is just brilliant.
April 6, 2025 at 4:29 PM
A few things are really starting to tick me off with DragonAge: Veilguard. I just don’t see the point in have to press a button for the quick recovery, I mean why wouldn’t I want to do that? Do I want to stay on my knees in the middle of a fight? Sure that sound like a great idea.

Modern car colours remind me of painting model aeroplanes as a child. The are some colours out there that I really do love. The MG light blue and the olive greens are especially melancholy.

I don’t think I can fully express just how deeply and how much I truly hate Slough.
