As a journalist, that concern isn’t new. Alternative networks have shaped parallel realities for years. The challenge is breaking through with verified facts, context, and persistence. Democracy depends on confronting misinformation, even when it’s loud, entrenched, and long-running.

As a journalist, I hear the anger, but insults don’t defend the Constitution. Accountability does. Voters deserve facts, lawful remedies, and scrutiny of those who undermine democratic norms without demeaning entire groups. Democracy is strengthened by evidence, not abuse.

When leadership erases Black history, the duty falls on us to preserve it. Honoring the past is both remembrance and resistance. By teaching and sharing these stories, we ensure future generations inherit the full truth, not a whitewashed version. Every effort to protect this legacy counts.

Honoring Black history isn’t limited by race it’s about recognizing the struggles, achievements, and contributions that have shaped the nation. Respecting their courage and innovation keeps those stories alive and inspires everyone to work toward a more just, inclusive future.

This is a quiet but serious danger. Letting the last nuclear arms control treaty expire would erase decades of diplomacy and verification. That’s not strength it’s negligence. Without guardrails, miscalculation becomes more likely, and the world becomes less safe. This deserves urgent attention.

The Obama's are no strangers to public attacks, and legal action could escalate tensions even further. It could also sideline important issues and shift focus entirely onto the courtroom drama. That said, there’s value in standing up to falsehoods but the strategy would need to be calculated.

I see your point, and the anger is justified. Defamation lawsuits, especially against someone like Trump, can send a message that public figures can’t just say whatever they want without consequence. But it’s a tricky legal process. Proving malicious intent and tangible harm in court is difficult.
