The latest techno-oxymoron: Tesla "FSD Supervised".

FSD = Full Self Driving
It means a vehicle that drives itself from A to B without human input, interference or erm... supervision.

To trot out the GREAT NEW FSD Supervised v14-something and expect people to fall over in awe is just special.

In those five years there have been over 10 million rider-only robotaxi rides in the US, none of which were done by Tesla.

Little has changed. Today, FSD is nowhere close to autonomy and remains riddled with safety defects that require a human ready to take over at a moment's notice to stop it from crashing or breaking the law.

There is a constant pattern of Elon Musk and Tesla saying that full self-driving is a car that can drive itself without input and then when they get sued they say oh no our manual says that you have to be in full control of the car at all times and ready to assume control when the computer fucks up

This week, Senator Blumenthal and Senator Markey demanded that NHTSA investigate Tesla FSD's dangerous behavior around railroads.

The latest version of FSD will drive straight in front of oncoming trains, just like versions from 3 years ago.

Kinda wild to think people paid Tesla for FSD before it existed (next year!) and a decade later it still doesn’t and there isn’t a class action. People paid for this. It doesn’t exist. It won’t exist before those cars destroy themselves.

Tesla must be held accountable. Elon lied.
