I was never on Twitter. Never on X. Facebook was good for a while, but it's a festering cesspool now. I'm new at being old, and I'm fairly new on this platform. I met my wife on MySpace. Ha! Those were the days.

I feel like I should be in Chicago right now. Or, Portland. A general strike is needed before we get screwed out of elections.

Okay. Understandably so. Let me summarize my above statement.

If Trump gets his way now, he will invade Canada later.

If and when he does, and I am still alive, I will be on your side.
realityinexile.bsky.social
Maybe. But, don't wait too long, like we did in WWII. Trump is already trying to wedge a gap in our liberal west coast by invading Oregon. It's not hard to imagine him cutting a swath right up to Alaska. And we already know he's got his eye on Greenland.

And, what kinds of things would we be saying and doing if this was happening in another country? Why aren't other countries saying and doing those things to us now?

The same is true for atheism... Christianity believes that everything is for and about them (even though it clearly is not), so they therefore need to make it so.

Gee, I wonder what inspired him to retire now? There will be many more retirements in the upcoming months.

Isaac Stanley-Becker traveled to Portland and spent time at the demonstration that Donald Trump wants to crush. What he found is an atmosphere that is more like a carnival than combat:
Portland’s ‘War Zone’ Is Like Burning Man for the Terminally Online
There’s more absurdity than menace on the city’s streets—at least for now.

Music is science with a soul.

Knowledge comes from things we know are true --- things that are observable, defined, measurable, predictable, in many cases. Things that will still be true in 5000 years are part of our knowledge base. 4 + 4 will still be 8. The Earth will still be round. Everything else is a belief.

Belief is not a suitable substitute for knowledge.

I can understand needing a gun to protect your house. I know one person who was in such a position and actually used it. But, you don't really need them for food, either. Someone has thoughtfully done all the hunting and gathering at the local Kroger.

It is going to take us decades to fix this mess. I won't likely see it in my lifetime. General strike. Now.

It is time for the decent countries of the world to work together, speak frankly, and put some serious heat on our fascist regime.

When you don't have logic, reason, or actual reality to sell your opinions and beliefs, you need guns. And lots of them. That is the real reason Christian nationalists love their guns so much.

Jon Snow’s whiskers are so big they need their own zip code.

If only we’d known in 2015 that we could just turn off the escalator.

Again!! Damn... Next time, though.
