Personal feelings of the writers.The issue was April was always written to be a character that was fired immediately and they never saw her past that. They only brought her back because Shonda loves Sarah which ironic to me because if anyone else played April I don’t think she would be written back

the only reason April would never win a Harper Avery is because she married his grandson and the mother of the grandson’s children. Nothing to do with her abilities at all I hate that it’s painted as anything other than that

I will always say someone else should have failed I know April had sex but her freak out seemed wayy too exaggerated and it’s clear they were going to make someone fail but April was too smart and prepared it should have been Alex or actually Christina/Mer would have been more interesting

I really don’t get why they continued that for so long because she loved being a doctor and surgeon and Krista definitely wanted to paint this image that April would give up her career for Jesus and marriage and that’s just not true or that she’s not as good as the rest of her class which isn’t true

Besides Ellen I don’t think the cast treated Sarah badly at all so I’m not saying that but she already came back in s17 and they all posted about that also Arizona interacted with more of the cast then Sarah did

Like you said they just wanted a wedding interruption. My issue with its length is that it went on too long for the amount of character he was painted as that’s why my issue is they making everything about religion when it’s love April wanted and they never showed that with Matthew

Now that I’m thinking Arizona picked a career path over her marriage lowkey even though she cheated (April literally just needed to heal) and got turned into this world class surgeon and got a mentor and look at her exit and now look what happened to April like that’s just not fair

that’s why I also will never believe Matthew was the perfect match because that relationship is never painted as Matthew is so in love with April for who she is it was more like they both Christian so it must a match when religion wasn’t even japrils problem hooking when hooking up
