That weird, because Israel has been kidnapping and murdering Palestinian civilians (including children) since 1948 with impunity. It‘s long forgotten now, but Hamas call for an international investigation into what took place on Oct. 7th and the Israeli occupation that incited it but Israel said no.

That is literally a lie the Israeli government made up to justify their ongoing campaign of mass murder. However, Israel has kidnapped and killed THOUSANDS of Palestinian children, both before and after Oct. 7.

That is an odd question given everything I laid out in my previous posts. It’s like asking ‘was the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising effective?’

I will say that Oct 7 and its aftermath was far more effective at delegitimizing the illegal Israeli occupation of Palestine than the Great March of Return.

Unfortunately kidnapping Israeli soldiers and citizens has historically achieved better results than nonviolent protests and appeals to international legal institutions. How was the Great March of Return met? Heinous and extreme violence from Israel and silence from its western allies.

History did not begin on Oct 7th. Zionists have brought shame to humanity since 1917 when they began their brutal invasion, occupation, and ethnic cleansing of Palestine. It’s time for the US to disarm and sanction Israel and end its genocide of the Palestinian people, by force if necessary.

In a vacuum, I agree kidnapping is wrong. But we’re talking about a stateless people confined to an Israeli concentration camp and EVERY single form of nonviolent resistance and legal recourse they have tried has been met with overwhelming violence from Israel and silence from the rest of the world.

I have not seen ANY credible evidence that Hamas members ’raped’ Israelis on Oct 7. There was also no investigation into how those who died on Oct 7 were killed. An untold number of Israeli civilians were killed by the IDF response and around 400 people killed were IDF soldiers (legitimate targets).

It‘s not that we won’t get paid, it’s that our pay checks are delayed indefinitely. A lot of people (like me) don’t want to leave because we care deeply about the work we do. On a more practical level, there are also few other options because the job market is flooded with fired federal workers.

Many of us federal workers still have to go to work like usual. All that a ‘government shutdown’ means is that we will not be receiving our pay checks until the situation is resolved.
