I understand. For me, the jump was subtle enough or the songs were good enough for me not to think this was too commercial. Also, I got into both albums at the same time.

For me, it's pretty flawless.
It's a bit more commercial than NGD
but none of the songs bother me.
OUAT would be where some issues pop up for me.
