Fixer near Hunters Point sold at a foreclosure auction $187,000, listed for $449,000 but there were no takers. Dropped the price to $265,000 to close the deal. Nice profit of $78,000 for virtually no effort. That's my kind of deal!

There are 17 new single family homes listed in Vallejo with prices starting at $339,000 for a decent Craftsman bungalow, to a prestigious golf course adjacent mansion under a million. My favorite house of the week is a cute 1937 Spanish style with lots of character for $550,000.

In a 2023 report, homeowners earn wealth 40 times faster than renters. The spread in median net worth between homeowners and renters stands at $415,000 for homeowners versus $10,000 for renters. Value of stocks can disappear in an instant, homes always retain value.

The national median price for a single-family is $410,100. Little ole’ Vallejo right now has 23 single family homes for sale under $450,000, which is pretty darn close to the national median price.
