I've asked Canada Revenue Agency about this issue before, they won't comment on the activities of individual charities due to the "confidentiality provisions of the Income Tax Act"

They note the public can report charities suspected of non-compliant activities here:

I do think that has been an ongoing problem with Liberals. Just terrible comms. I think Carney benefits in that he is so damn credible, given his history, but he needs a comms team that understands the current political landscape and is ready to present him successfully for the long haul.

I was surprised, too, but more because she used it correctly in a sentence. I agree, though, with your overall point that it is offensive to British Columbians. To suggest BC is more selfish and insular than Alberta is just silly. Alberta is the worst internal offender in terms of attacking Canada.

True. I have always been quite supportive of Israel and sensitive to the righteous anger that Israelis have against those who literally want to wipe them off the face of the earth. Still, you can't become "the bad guy" yourself. That is not how you succeed. Nothing good comes of it. #Israel #Gaza

But... again... I keep going back to what her intent is. If we were to think her intent was to build a pipeline, then we're missing the strategy. Her strategy is to make everyone hate Alberta as much as possible so that it is easier to fight to separate. That's all this ever was.

I would also say that the fact that she called Premier Eby "un-Canadian", after spending her career bootlicking for the American Republicans, the anti-vaxxers, the convoy idiots, and all the deplorables of Alberta politics, is also blatantly absurd. It's impossible to take her seriously.

Focus test? I do not believe for a second that Danielle Smith knew that word before this week. To be honest, it could just have been a fluke that she used it correctly in the context of her intent. Also, coming from Alberta to BC, it makes her look even dumber. Nobody respects Alberta at this point.
