There was a period in the late 90s and early aughts where you couldn't sit through a power point presentation without a Dilbert cartoon being included in the deck.

I went to Lutheran schools in the 70s. Vividly remember putting on a production of the David and Goliath story in 5th grade. The final act of the play was a bunch of us dressed as protestors with signs protesting the "modern day Goliaths" of "Hunger", "Poverty", "Discrimination" and "Racism".

I streamed the “Jonas Brothers Christmas Movie Yule Log” throughout the week and it was also pretty good as well. Like a regular Yule log except occasionally a Jonas Brother would wander into frame and gaze appreciatively at the fire.

I can't say I've cooked it this way myself - but my mother in law did pretty frequently and it was great! Lots of gravy from the drippings. Honestly a pretty good way to cook turkey breast

We go a couple times a year for the boardwalk. I love Zachary's for sourdough pancakes and my teenagers and their friends sure love the vintage clothing stores around Pacific Ave.

I live in a small town in between Sac and Lake Tahoe. Love having room for many pets and I love space around me. But also think cities are amazing and vibrant. And cities are where my kids want to live.

I was raised in a kind, gentle church. Like many I started to question my belief as a young adult . Ultimately, I can’t help but feel that there is a higher power in this world and that people come to know that higher power via a variety of ways.

There was one in the laundromat today. Rolled up in a car with rhinestone studded Trump license plate and “FJB” bumper sticker. Bleached blond, botoxed, plumped lips in lululemons. I hate criticizing other women for how they look but honestly they are starting to look like cartoons.

It’s just sowing more terror - if you fall into their hands-even if it’s determined to be a mistake - there will be no recourse for you.

The scene that got to me was watching the ER social worker and admittance clerk, giving out the paperwork with QR codes to all the anxious friends and relatives. Amazing mix of competence and emotion.
