We need to fix that, somehow. Get more eyes watching the sky.

It was pretty big news though. Strongest tornado to hit Japan in recent history, from what I saw and heard.

The lack of information makes me wonder if I should try starting a network dedicated to identifying + sharing news and information about tornadoes around Japan, unless there is one already.

Yeah, I was kind of surprised I missed it too actually. Somehow it never popped up in my usual sources of information. I don't think many people pay much attention to Japanese tornadoes, it takes time for that news to get out?

Just kidding. Having a hard time over here, needed some comedy/levity.

I might have actually caught the sound on camera. Need to check.

Maybe an effect from the heat and energy passing through the moist air? It was definitely creepy, but I also noticed that I only heard it when the lightning was overhead, not in the distance.

I am actually relieved that nothing actually formed in this case, that circulation was RIGHT over a number of houses and an elderly care center. Pretty sure that if anything had actually managed to drop, it wouldn't have been more than an EF0, but still...scary for the people below.

No worries. Yeah, potential, but never quite got there. Still, some cool storms.

Hell yeah! Nature loved the Obon fireworks so much, she's giving us repeat encores!

Well, looks like we have another prine day for it! Right combination of warm and cool air to allow for convection, I think. Definite rotation from the clouds as well. Not sure it will all come together perfectly, but definitely looks like an interesting day ahead.

I also saw a fair bit of rotation in the clouds, and some possible attempts at organization, but ultimately, everything was pretty scattered.
