Last game I somehow forgot but 100% needs to be on this list.

- Deltarune:
This game only gets better with each chapter. The end of chapter 4 was absolute cinema and had me sitting there for like 10 minutes contemplating it all.

Honorable Mentions:
- Ace Attorney Trilogy: Trials and Tribulations
- Haiku the Robot
- Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition
- Death’s Door
- Blasphemous
- Resident Evil
- BALL x PIT
- To the Moon
- A Short Hike

…and even more I haven’t mentioned because this list is getting too long.

- Cuphead:
Another game that took me way too long to finally play. Most of the game is basically fighting bosses and learning their attacks, which is super fun. Obviously the art style is super cool and it feels like playing a cartoon. The DLC was great too.

- Hollow Knight: Silksong
I can finally write that I’ve played Silksong. Feels impossible that it met and maybe exceeded my expectations after such a long wait. This game felt like it was never going to end, and entering/hearing Choral Chambers was definitely my City of Tears moment in this game.

- Donkey Kong Bananza:
Closest feeling I’ll get to playing Mario Odyssey for the first time again. It’s very much a different game but that’s the best compliment I can give it. I spent so much time just destroying rocks and getting treasures and somehow it never got old. The ending was awesome too.

I don’t know why I waited so long to play it. One of the best platformers ever made and the movement feels basically perfect. The difficulty ramps up really well over time. The music is amazing. Everyone knows this game is good I don’t have to tell you.

- Outer Wilds: Echoes of the Eye:
Another excuse to talk about how much I love Outer Wilds. The DLC almost feels like a sequel, and it ties up any loose ends while adding really cool gameplay elements. After playing this I really can say this in one of my favorite games of all time. It’s peak.

- 1000xRESIST:
I don’t even know how to describe this game, but I played it entirely in one night and it was an experience. Basically a visual novel with extra steps, but really interesting (and slightly confusing) story about a lot of different things. Really cool and unique game.

- SOMA:
I knew I’d like this game because a major theme of this game (which I won’t even spoil here if you don’t know) is a concept that is fascinating to me. It did not disappoint, and I still think about it often… maybe don’t play this if you have thalassophobia though (but seriously do).
