I think the reasons transphobia is so toxic is that it forces you to believe in a biological hierarchy that is immutable, which inevitably leads you to believe in other hierarchies of race and gender. You stop looking at people as equals, and instead as potential violators of hierarchy.

That sounds good! But I’d like to get to know all the characters more before that anyway. It’d help the movie hit harder I bet.
