Particularly because I'm actually ending the year and am somewhat proud of where I'm at in life for once. It took a long time to get here but it feels nice.

They can call me whatever they like to make themselves feel better than me because I genuinely do not give a shit I'm not in high school anymore.

Tldr; people put more stake in other people's opinions/tastes rather than their own and I wish they wouldnt.

I know too many people that outright changed their mind on something or even refused to try something that they were genuinely interested in/loved because someone said it's not worth it and I dont get how people can be swayed so easily by others.

The other issue is people cant just accept that sometimes something isnt for them and move on and leave it at that, they gotta feel like they are somehow better for it and it just perpetuates this cycle and its why game discussion is garbage nowadays and why I dont partake in it.

I learned very quickly that the internet is not to be trusted in regard to practically anything regardless of what it is.

Doesnt help ragebaiting and giving snide remarks pays the bills more so you see it more often.

He puts it in such a succulent way that I've always tried finding words for and it's just an honest to goodness reminder that I think people need from time to time.

I always like sharing it as a reminder, especially since it really does feel like a lot of people rely too much on having their own personal experiences validated by others or some award show as ben puts it.
