It may be that someone reading this cannot physically or mentally handle amplifying messages of trauma, or cannot protest. But you may have recipes that help those who can.

Or you may write poetry that sustains them.

Diversity is important, and sharing different skills IS diversity.

Because I was able to find peace within torture and within slavery and within other kinds of abuse and hardship. Those are valuable skills to reduce suicidal ideation for people.

So the meditation skills, and spiritual insights that helped me are valuable.

I struggle with this, because I’ve studied politics, sociology and law, and I used to be a journalist.

But in reality, me sharing a news story that’s already been shared millions of times is less valuable than my focus on ways to improve mental health and resilience as an NDE & torture survivor.
