None of the negative reviews discussed the music either - it’s also not specific to her but rather the entire music critic industry which prioritizes speed over quality. It makes sense bc if they don’t get out a review fast their opinions are moot.

I watched a whole video talking down about how she clearly didn’t read Hamlet and I’m like umm this song delves into the point where she has already drowned and is in purgatory. I’m not an English major but pretty sure Ophelia drowns and that was that, so yeah, this does extrapolate.

I’m trying to reconcile this supposed hate with the #s. I don’t know what her videos typically do on day 1 but the music video is close at 9.5 miI views. I get maybe the album has high 1st day streams bc of curiosity but to view the video at this point seems to be an act of loving it not hating it.
