Was there a difference in incidence of AKI or need for dialysis?

With current cost of a starter house in California - this wouldn’t put anyone over the top (okay, maybe like 4 people in Bakersfield). Even as outreach to lower cost red states, it’s a pathetic amount.

Followed for “damascene.” So right.

Do you have a recommendation?

There was a traffic holdup at my polling place with cars waiting to get into the lot. But we had a county assessor race on the ballot, I’m sure that brought some people out. 😂

This veterinarian has her hand raised! Can’t imagine getting through a shift without POCUS.

Wait they’re keeping the horses out while using gas? The horses don’t have masks, they should clear out before gas gets released.

I’m in a state where I’m fully “McQ” and fully “Mc Q”, depending which computer you open.

High volume spay neuter clinics & shelters usually have better standards of care, and there are charismatic, well-loved vets in every area. The choice to market this show was a choice to provide misinformation, a great problem of our time. I choose to turn it off and seek info I can trust. (Finis)

So it’s disappointing to me that National Geographic choose to lionize a guy who celebrates being a cowboy and who seems to rebel against basic standards of modern medicine. It’s a violation of his client’s trust, it puts his patients at risk, and it misrepresents his profession. (5/n)

The risks are a numbers game. You can play cowboy and cut corners and have some wonderful successes, but you cause unnecessary suffering to other patients. The state boards set a legal floor on what corners you can cut, but the vast majority of vets genuinely try to do better than that. (4/n)

I’ve managed a few patients with catastrophic failure of orthopedic implants, or who arrested under anesthesia - they are awful for everyone. I feel kinda sick when I see someone doing anesthesia & orthopedic surgery without appropriate monitoring and aseptic technique. (3/n)

Failed treatment, adverse effects of meds, and surgical complications aren’t abstract ideas - they cause real suffering amd increase cost of care. “The cheapest way to do it is to do it right the first time.” - Dr Willard at TAMU. (2/n)
