Wild Fennel
- it is fennel, and does not usually have a bulb like the cultivated ones so don't dig it up please -- just take the fronds and stems
- tasty fronds that are great for salads, toppings, and broth

Lilly Pilly Berries
- small pitted pink fruit
- found on trees, in the myrtle family
- taste sweet, sour, and a little funky (in a good way)

Three-cornered wild garlic
- easily identifiable by the fact that the flower stem is shaped like a triangular tube
- Mild garlic flavor, use like green onion

Nasturtium
- if you have ever bought edible flowers, some of them were probably nasturtiums
- leaves and flowers are edible
- taste peppery like arugula

Miner's Lettuce
- tastes like lettuce or maybe spinach
- there's SO MUCH OF IT just walk outside and eat a salad
- only eat the leaves, which are both cute & round w/ a white flower in the middle, or heart shaped
- lots of vitamin c and eaten by gold rush era miners to prevent scurvy

Sourgrass
- A kind of wood sorrel
- Tastes like sour candy
- Can eat all but root, imo flower stems are tastiest
- Don't eat too much - there are slight risks to gorging yourself on this b/c the tasty acid that makes it sour can be toxic to grazing animals in high amounts so best to exercise caution

I don't have a cat photo, but in lieu of that, here is a picture of Calvin, the golden retriever. I watch him whenever his humans go out of town. He has a perfectly centered birthmark on his tongue.
