My personal favorite is still Dan Slott's Invincible Ironman, but I don't think that's a great starting point because it's more of an exploration of machine versus man and sentience, rather than like a 'traditional' Ironman story.

I also don't love the Arno Stark part in it

I think the Warren Ellis run of Ironman with Extremis is the best point to start. If you've watched the movie then it's a pretty familiar storyline but branches off enough to push you deeper into the comics world, and it transitions to Civil War and the Matt Fraction book after which is also good

Out of all the Ironman runs I've read, @valerioschiti.bsky.social's is my absolute favorite and is the only one that gives me bad(good) ideas about Tony's love interests
